seoulful surprise

Life is what happens while you’re busy making other plans, right? My short stay in Seoul turned out to be a plethora of things but none of them as planned.

After a rather demanding flight to South Korea, I stumbled upon my suitcase, walked into a glass wall, and couldn’t find no sleep for reasons only God knows. So far so good. Life just as I like it: rough, harsh, and overall, emotionally disturbing – so I’m basically shaken (not stirred). Next thing, I left my credit card back home in Berlin. Sweet. What’s more to come? Of course, last minute cancelation of my shoot due to a high priority casting. Best. Day. Ever.

New day, new me: after a long and much needed rest everything seems brighter. I go for a jog, fix my financial dilemma and as cherry on the cake – in fact, we can make a last minute shoot happen, right before I’m about to leave again.

We won’t make it to the location that I initially wanted to shoot in but whatever, I embrace life as it comes, and sure thing, I’m all up to shoot, that’s what I’m here for. It’s much different from what I wanted it to be, but as soon as Kate (@_orlik_kat_) and me meet and start shooting right in front of my hotel, magic’s happening. It’s a vibe.

The results are beyond anything I ever could have asked for. But words, are smoke and mirrors when it comes to photography, just see for yourself.

After all, I guess it’s true – sometimes life doesn’t give you want you want, you get what you need.
